Queens Park Rangers Fans Staged A Bizarre Pitch Invasion After Relegation

Queens Park Rangers fans staged a bizarre pitch invasion after their 2-1 win against Newcastle despite already being relegated from the Premier League.

The Rs were consigned to the Championship after last week’s hammering at the hands of Manchester City, and the mood around Loftus Road was expected to be dreary.

However, goals from Matty Phillips and Leroy Fer gave the west Londoners all three points, and the crowds on the pitch afterwards took to singing; ‘We are going down, we are going down.’

Perhaps they just wanted to celebrate a rare three points? Some Twitter users weren’t quite as understanding, though…
